This course aims to give an introduction to side-channel attacks and countermeasures.

- Software side-channel attacks: memory leaks, cache-timing attacks, RAM hammering
- ML/AI in side-channel attacks

- Side-channel attacks on quantum devices
Exam and grade
Separate grades for lectures and tutorials
Lecture:
- Closed book quiz-like exam, in person (an example exam will be available later)
- Everything is in scope (lectures+practices)
- Tests your understanding of the basic concepts
Practice:
- (Mainly) self-guided tasks
- 5-6 tasks during the semester
- Grade based on the tasks
- All tasks must be uploaded by the 13th of December, 23:59 (Budapest time)
- You will need real hardware to complete the tasks (accessible during the practices)
- After this date, access to real hardware is not guaranteed
